September 28, 1999 - Lights!  Camera (got it)!  Action!

The electricians are good.  The lighting fixtures were delivered as scheduled and the electricians got right to work.  The tile, framers & cabinet folks have been busy as well.  So, without any further ado - here are (most) of the lights and other pics...

But wait!  Forgot to tell you.  I've moved the last page from Netcenter and that page as well as all future pages will be on the servers at 50megs.com.  50megs provides (doh!) 50 MB of storage space.  The disadvantage is that you will be subjected to banner advertising (something I had hoped to avoid).  The good news is that the current banner advertising is for 50megs and not some annoying animated ad for something else.  (That will probably change.)  The problem with Netcenter is that it lacks FTP.  Having to use the Netcenter interface to upload files, one by one, means I spend a long time in front of the PC.  With the WS_FTP program I have, if a site supports FTP I can select a group of files to upload and then walk away.  As you can guess, 50megs supports FTP.

The lights in the Master Bathroom.  The same fixture is on the other side of the cabinets.

Ceiling fans and lights for the back porch.  The third one is to the right.
Ceiling fan & lights in the Family Room.  It's tough to see, but the metal is not brass but brushed steel.
Not the greatest picture, but this is one of the wall sconces in the Living Room.  It (and it's duplicate on the opposite wall) provide up-lighting for the home theatre.
Ceiling fan (without globe) in Sarah's bedroom.  This fan & light are also in Olivia's and the Guest bedrooms as well as in the Den.
Foyer light.  We've gone with polished brass everywhere but the Living Room.
Dining room light.  I wanted something nice...
This is the girls' bathroom.  The tile is down, and the cabinets & counter-tops are in.
The bathtub in the girls' bathroom.  Nice accent stripe eh?
Close up of the Master Bathroom tile.
Hall light.  Remember I said we were using polished brass throughout the house.  This fixture is used in all the hallways.
Finally, the entertainment center area has been framed.  Again, the central area is for our current entertainment center.  The side units are for speakers and other stuff.  The framers were even nice enough to make shelves for us too!

The only two fixtures not delivered were the Master Bedroom ceiling fan (remote controlled!) and the fixture for the Breakfast nook.  We're also waiting on the vent lights for the bathrooms, which were ordered through the electrician.
